GA1 Certification

What is a GA1 Certification?

A GA1 Certificate is provided once certain types of equipment have been inspected and certified. These inspections are carried out by our qualified personnel, and are targeted at all machinery, chains and slings. We operate our inspections in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare At Work Regulations, published in 2007.

What types of vehicles are inspected?

We inspect the following equipment:

  • Forklifts, MEWPs and Teleporters

  • All quarry equipment

  • Slings and Chains

  • Jibs, clamps and many more.

Who needs a GA1 Certificate?

This certificate is required by any site that operates machinery.

Inspection information includes

  • Name of the person conducting the inspection

  • Date of inspection

  • Location

  • Type of machinery being inspected

  • Identification of equipment

  • Faults Found (if applicable)

How long is the certificate valid for?

A GA1 Certificate is valid for 12 months. Certain equipment may need inspection more frequently. The inspection frequency should be based on how quickly the equipment deteriorates.
