Mobile Elevated Work Platform Training
The Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Operator Training is a comprehensive and hands-on program designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and effectively operate mobile elevated work platforms. MEWPs, commonly known as aerial lifts or cherry pickers, play a vital role in various industries such as construction, maintenance, telecommunications, and more. This course is designed to ensure that participants can confidently and proficiently operate MEWPs, minimizing risks and maximizing productivity.
We provide scissors-lift, telescopic boom lift, working at heights and harness training.
Course Objectives
After completion of our course, learners will be able to:
Identify their safety responsibilities when operating a MEWP
Perform all relevant safety checks prior to use
Operate a MEWP safely and efficiently
Refuel/charge a MEWP safely

Introduction and pre-course theory test
Information on MEWP Categories and Structural Parts
Regulations: ISO 18878, PUWER, LOLER, RIDDOR, WAHR and MWSW
Pre-use inspection and handover
Safe operation of a MEWP in the workplace
Positioning, raising and lowering the MEWP safely
Hazards associated with operating a MEWP incorrectly
MEWP theory test and practical training
MEWP practical assessment
License renewal and log books
Overall course evaluation

Course Certification
Once learners complete both the theoretical and practical assessments associated with our courses, they are awarded a license of competence which is valid for 3 years.
